My nature is kind, relaxed, friendly and patient, but I'm also greatly capable of pushing student's limit and adding intensity when needed. I have almost a decade of experiences in private teaching of all ages (from 4 to 60 years old). My students achieved high results in exams and auditions (e.g. ABRSM/Trinity exam board), fulfilled their dreams of recording own music, expanded their repertoire, gained technical security and learned to deal with and overcome stage fright/performance anxiety.
I was trained classically and I'm happy to teach other genres too. Each lesson will be tailored according to student's personal goals and abilities.
I offer violin, piano, theory and composition lessons. The student doesn't need to bring their own instrument to the first lesson, but will be required to demonstrate basic musical sense (e.g. singing a song, repeating a simple rhythmical pattern, or similar).
I mostly recommend 1h long lessons, once per week. We would usually spend the first 20min for a warm up and technical exercises (for example scales, arpeggios, finger and bow exercises, Kreutzer, Schradieck) and then focus on chosen pieces. I will take any piece-learning wishes in consideration, but will also suggest a suitable repertoire depending on the student's abilities, strengths and style. Most commonly the repertoire will consist of one early music piece (Baroque/Classical era), one Romantic era piece and a modern (post 20th century) piece. The student will receive weekly tasks and will be required to practice regularly. When needed, the piano accompaniment can also be arranged.
I do not offer free first lesson.
