I prefer to use real-life analogies or analogies of stuff they have passions for to help them understand and learn concepts in Chemistry so that their brains are primed to associate a once completely unrelated thought to Chemistry knowledge. This will ensure that they are well-prepared for their exams. I schedule and plan individual lessons tailored to each specific individual as not every student learns in one set way. With 3 years of experience teaching Chemistry under my belt, I have learned and mastered multiple styles of teaching so I can adapt to any of my student's needs and concerns. I have a very solid background in Maths, achieving an A* in GCSE and an A in Further Mathematics to help my students with Quantitative Chemistry (as it is said to be harder), on top of teaching the other aspects of Chemistry too. I provide online resources which further solidify their learning and understanding of concepts. Near the end of the lesson, I help students run through exam-style questions to ensure that they remember everything I taught them, and/or highlight any weaknesses they have in specific topics so we can focus on that. This also prepares them for exams perfectly, as they will have answered thousands of questions similar to their real exam questions so they will be confident during their real exams. I work 1-on-1 with students, so they will have my undivided attention, so that they can learn more effectively, in comparison to group settings, which cause distractions and is not as efficient in consolidating knowledge as 1-on-1.
