Kasia is a flute teacher and Music Therapist, based in Berkhamsted Hertfordshire. She has 10+ years experience as a private instrumental teacher, preparing students for graded exams, performances and playing for pleasure. Kasia's love of the flute began at age 7 after hearing the music of Prokofiev's 'Peter and the Wolf' and her passion for the instrument has continued ever since! She went on to read Music at Royal Holloway University of London, specialising in solo flute performance, then gained a Master's degree in Music Therapy from Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In addition to teaching, Kasia offers 1:1 and group music therapy sessions for clients across the lifespan in educational, community and hospital settings. She currently sits on the board of directors for a not-for-profit music therapy organisation and holds the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead for the company.
Kasia is open to teaching all ages and abilities. You may be completely new to the instrument, part way through your learning journey, or perhaps have had a break in learning and are seeking to reignite your passion for the flute and music in general. Kasia can guide you through graded exams (incl. music theory, practical, and performance), or develop your playing for fun. Lessons will be designed around your needs. Please be in touch if you have any questions ahead of booking a lesson.
