I'm a welcoming and passionate tutor looking to help and support students in their academic subjects. I often like to work one to one, to give tutees a chance to receive more focused aid in their specific subject. Initially a starter would be present relating to our last session's focus, to ensure active recall for the student. For GCSE students, for sciences, I like to work with past paper questions and practice as well as understanding the content instead of memorizing it. I tend to structure my lessons by going through the content, key words and then doing worked examples. I find its most important to clarify and ensure the student is confident in what they are learning and help cure any possible worries or doubts in their minds. With younger students I focus on emphasizing content in a creative way to engage students and use real life examples to help them understand. I want to be flexible around the student but also making sure that they are improving and ensuring my time is beneficial for them.

In regard to music lessons, I teach piano for any age to children. I'm patient and compassionate towards music and believe it can be an outlet for many young people. I work by whatever speed the student is comfortable with and ensure that our lessons are both productive as well as enjoyable. In my experience, I've had amazing feedback from children, parents and staff that I've worked with and believe I can help!
