Although there are certain styles I like, I know that every student is different and that is why I prefer to personalise the lessons to each individual. This could range from a typical lesson-style presentation, for the visual learners, to conversation-based lessons, for those who prefer to learn through listening. For those who don't know what they prefer yet, I can do a mix of styles. The lessons wouldn't be set in stone either, for example if you initially thought that you preferred presentations but later on decided that you actually prefer something else, we can change that too. Additionally, the lessons will be dynamic - you won't just be hearing my voice for the entire hour as I want you to actually take in and understand the content, rather than just memorise it. Depending on your level and confidence across the subject, we can discuss extra work (e.g. past paper questions) and seeing how much time should be dedicated to each topic within the subject. Your academic achievement would be a priority and I want to listen to the ideas you have, as well as give advice for the steps to be taken next, so this would be a joint effort, rather than me telling you exactly what to do.

I have experience in 1-1 academic mentoring (~1 year) and have also spent time volunteering in a school, carrying out sessions at a science club (~1 year). Although my tutoring experience might not be as extensive, I believe I am capable in providing the help you require to get the grades you need to get into your dream University or Sixth Form.
