I have teaching experience in the secondary English classroom. My teaching methodology lies mainly in the student-centred approach. I believe that student autonomy is vital in a successful learning programme. I will utilise the needs and interests of the student to shape the teaching programme. I am well versed in the cognitive methods of teaching but am well aware that learning, to be successful and fun, must be a personalised, individual experience. Collaboratively we will shape the lessons around your interests in order to maximise the success of each lesson. Each lesson will be fun and interactive, organised and engaging. My wide knowledge of literature will be vital in structuring the lessons whether they are language or literary focused. I will focus on developing not only the students' analysis and comprehension but on transferable skills such as communication, creativity and hopefully nurture autonomy that they can carry forward with them in their future pursuits. Teaching for me is about great communication and a positive mindset. I truly believe anything can be achieved with these two things. My passion for English is unparalleled, hopefully you can see and share in this in my lessons.
