When teaching, communication is a core value incorporated into my lessons. It is vital so that the student is able to receive teaching that caters for all of their needs. One of my main goals is that all students that I teach are able to reach their full potential and perform at the best of their ability. My experience with teaching includes my work experience that took place in a primary school, in which I taught a variety of different age groups and also teaching secondary school students, some of which included my peers.
In my lessons, the format in which I would teach would revolve around the specification that the student is studying. In the lesson, I would initially conduct a baseline test to identify both the strengths and weaknesses of the student. I would then use this to structure my lessons to cater for the students needs and to fill the gaps in their knowledge. At the end of each lesson, I will make sure to ask the student how they found the lesson and also if there are any other topics they would like to study. As well as this, I will check in with the student throughout the lesson in order to ensure that they are understanding and absorbing the information being taught.
After conducting the baseline assessment, I will pick an area of study and go through some examples and teach the method of the question. I would then test the student and mark the questions and go through the answers as we go along
