I like to work with images and themes for younger children, so that the child can associate with the concepts in their own day to day life, places they have been or visited, holidays, family trips, food, sports and games.

I like to work with images and themes for younger children, so that the child can associate with the concepts in their own day to day life, places they have been or visited, holidays, family trips, food, sports and games.
I believe it is important that the learner feels comfortable and is able to bring their perspective and thoughts to the lessons, particularly to help improve vocabulary and in their self expression. This also translates into their written work.
Generally images will be selected to provoke comment and elicit response so that the learner can actively participate and explain their thoughts. From there, I can access where potential improvement or help can be provided and we can work together in a positive way.
If there are set books for literature, poetry, prose, novels, I can assist with this and also any comprehension, spelling requirements.
