I am a recent graduate of TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), and TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), therefore the English grammar course and teaching methods are fresh in my mind. The favoured method of teaching in this course was PPP - Presentation, Practice & Production. We watched numerous videos of tutors in action, teaching classes of up to 6. We were tested at the end of each module and had several assignments to pass; these were all centred around lesson planning and delivery. We were also required to teach lessons to our fellow students; these were assessed by a tutor with many years' experience, and I passed successfully. In terms of teaching experience in general, I taught and mentored staff in the workplace for several years. I am patient, encouraging and understanding and look forward to helping you along your journey. I believe in student centred learning - in other words, students defining their particular areas of interest with regards learning English, or pinpointing areas they struggle with. If unsure, however, I can guide students appropriately. Having completed the above mentioned course, I have many resources to hand in relation to the various levels of English.
