Each student can learn things in different ways than the others, and I personally think that we must take each case individually depending on weaknesses.
Working on weaknesses for each student individually means that we should try different ways until the student becomes stronger on it, this can be through giving more examples in different ways about the situation we are facing, or another way is by discussing the phrase or the situation in meticulous detail so the student understand the reason behind what he is learning.
Giving some homework on what the student would like to become stronger is also important to see the improvement week by week.
