In the last four years of my university life, I have gone through many ups and downs in academic studies, made mistakes and most importantly learnt from them. The most important lesson from all these mistakes was- “You did not understand if you cannot explain it to others”. Therefore, condensing a great extent of information into materials understandable by the regular crowd has helped me apply this knowledge to other parts of life and have an interdisciplinary approach to studies. This approach has helped me graduate with my bachelor with a first-class degree. Keeping this in mind, I am now on the path of completing an MRes degree in Biodiversity Conservation and hopefully a DPhil in future.
This wide range of academic experiences has instilled in me the courage to go forward and practically teach students educational concepts and help them apply what they have learnt holistically in their academic endeavours.
Tutoring younger kids is not oblivious to me. During my undergraduate course, I had to do mandatory SUPW, where I taught primary school children mathematics and biology. Therefore, getting a chance to tutor you would help me educate and spread my line of expertise and at the same time would be fruitful for both the tutor and the tutee.
My format for teaching is first to get a basic idea of how much information you already know about a topic and creating a roadmap specific for you to master it. I am a firm believer of learning by doing, so you will learn about the topic firstly though a basic presentation and if possible a hypothetical scenario. Furthering this, there will be exercises which I will go through and then have you go through at your own time and come up with your doubts which can then be solved.
I hope to tutor you soon!
