As an experienced tutor who is also a student herself, Kaitlin understands and relates to her students and has amassed many techniques over the years that she imparts. Kaitlin likes to build appropriate yet comfortable relationships with her students, so they genuinely enjoy their lessons and get the most out of them. She is a punctual, organized, and understanding individual. Kaitlin has over 7 years of experience in tutoring Mathematics and Science (more specifically Biology and Chemistry) at both GCSE and A-Level. She has also mentored reading in high-school-level children that have difficulties with literacy and reading. Kaitlin speaks conversational Spanish and possesses an A grade in GCSE-level Spanish. Kaitlin holds a BSc in Infection and Immunity from University College London (UCL). Prior to the completion of this degree, she studied MBBS Medicine at UCL for one year before switching. Kaitlin will be attending the University of Oxford in October 2023 to complete her DPhil (PhD) in Clinical Medicine focusing on Blood Transfusion Testing and Epidemic/Pandemic Preparedness. Kaitlin tutors in a way that fosters passion and confidence to enable her tutees to look forward to tutoring sessions. Her aim is to encourage students' curiosity and help them achieve both their long- and short-term goals. Kaitlin is keen to take on a mentor role with her students and help them with various aspects of their learning and academic careers. She also loves to learn from her students so she can incorporate their interests and learning styles into sessions to keep them engaged and excited about learning. She currently works as a full-time tutor.
