I used to tutor students during my A-level years and in the second year of my degree I provided peer mentoring to first-year students. I have lots of experience as a chemist with both practical and theoretical knowledge. My lessons start by looking at what the student struggles with most by looking at various exam-style questions to see what areas they need the most help with. My lessons will look at reviewing content learned in school as well as providing extra information to enable the student to boost their knowledge. I will also provide homework for the student to complete which I will mark and provide written feedback on each week.

In the first 3 years of my degree, I achieved an average of 82 % and at A-level, I achieved an A* in chemistry. I have a good understanding of how to prepare for exams and so can provide advice on good revision techniques and help the student to create a suitable revision timetable to enable them to achieve their goals.

In the third year of my degree, I worked at AstraZeneca (AZ) as a medicinal chemist where I synthesized and designed potential drug candidates for cancer. While at AZ, I got the opportunity to work alongside some of the best in the field and would love to share what I learned with younger students that want to join the field.
