About me

I have prior experience tutoring students at different levels. Most notably, one of my students, who was getting an average of grade 7, achieved a grade 9 in Maths and Further Maths in his GCSE exams. I have prior experience tutoring students at different levels. Most notably, one of my students, who was getting an average of grade 7, achieved a grade 9 in Maths and Further Maths in his GCSE exams. He is now applying to Imperial College London to study Biochemistry with a predicted grade of A*A*A*.

My lessons are flexible. I try to create an environment where my students can best learn, adapting the lessons to their preferred learning style. Typically, I will teach for the first half, providing examples and showing my process of approaching problems. I will then ask questions to consolidate my student's learning, to ensure that they fully understand the content and can adapt to a variety of problems.

I will often give alternative perspectives on certain problems, fostering a flexible mindset when dealing with complex questions.

For parents of students, I give frequent updates on the student's progress and they are free to get in contact if any issues were to arise. To ensure peace of mind, I encourage parents and guardians to observe the first lesson and personally judge whether I am a good fit as a tutor. I have previously had parents raise concerns over my experience when I was an A-Level student, but these were quickly resolved after seeing my process and their child's engagement in my lessons.

To give my student's the best learning environment, my lessons are adapted to the student's pace of learning. The homework I provide are aimed to stretch the student, and I encourage them to contact me if they face any issues. This homework is meant as an extension of their studies in school.
