I will start by doing a small test to see where improvements can be made just checking in with the student. I also like to make my lessons engaging by doing using interactive learning methods such as mini games or brain teasers. I usually do a tests after a topic is finished but it won’t be serious or stressful. If homework is being set, it would not be extensive as I am aware that time could be used for better things :)
