Juliette Poon-Jamin

Hi, my name is Juliette and I have just finished my A-levels, in which I did Maths, Physics and Music and going onto to study Physics at the University of Leeds. I understand that school can be difficult and stressful and on top of that tutoring can seem long and just like another lesson. My aim is to be able to develop children’s interest in the subject of maths and physics, and help improve their motivation and grades. Content wise, I am happy to cover whatever the student would like, whether that is specific topics they are struggling with, what they are doing in class or learning ahead of lessons. The format of my lessons will be personalised for your child, whether they prefer more visual learning, audio learning or a mixture. But typically what I have done in the past, is talk to the student about their struggles and understanding of the topic, give an explanation and an example question and get the student to explain how they would answer questions, increasing the difficulty as they continue on.
