My lesson style is based on learning in a fun environment, and creating games that will make you work while having fun. I will design my lesson plans on what I have seen to work, and we can discuss your personal goals and priorities so we are clear on where we want to go. This can create motivation, but also a clear idea of what the aims are. The lessons will teach a topic over 2 lessons, or 2 hours, in order to create repetition, but also to have time to teach a topic, and apply it to conversation and activities.
For the past year and a half, I have been living in Bristol, doing one on one tutoring, as well as holding a french class, where I had to plan lessons and teach them to adults ranging from A1 to B1 french. This taught me to adapt my teaching style in accordance to everyone's learning habits, but also gave me an understanding of what aspects of the language different pupils struggle with. One on one tutoring allows for a more personal learning style, and here I focus on putting the student at ease so they feel comfortable learning and making mistakes.
I usually prioritise oral speaking in my lessons, as this is the element that a student is less likely to be able to practise outside of the lessons, but writing and reading is also extremely important. However, I am happy to hear about your personal goals and priorites before deciding to structure my lessons a certain way.
