Hi! My name is Julie!
My experience includes the best part of 25 years in the natural health industry as a coach using holistic approaches to health and wellbeing (with the main focus on mental health) and the use of techniques such as meditation, breathwork, Neurolinguistic programming (NLP) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) which are all powerful tools to get faster and highly effective results in a session and ultimately enable stress management.
I would usually start a session with a grounding and relaxing breathwork technique or meditation (or both) to allow the client to fully connect into the space together before jumping into anything. The sessions would specifically identify what priorities would be most important for the client and through an intro session, we would identify the key objectives and goals together before designing the steps moving forward. For instance, if productivity and focus is not as good due to stress and sleep, that would be the merge of how to manage individual wellbeing support in sleep hygiene and tools to support stress, as well as implement ways supports for the brain to be sharper and more aligned.
I like to use the study and memory methods of Tony Buzan ( mind mapping, associations, memory hacks etc) and am a big fan of visualisation techniques that work with the subconscious to programme the mind for success with exams, assignments, projects where overwhelm and procrastination would occur.
