Passionate, certified educator with 8+ years of teaching experience excited to assist students in their language learning journey.
I use simple, comprehensible language and engaging materials to allow students to connect with the target language. I focus on building vocabulary and grammar skills through repetition, visual and auditory input, and simple formulaic language. Lessons are focused on language and vocabulary that students will use in their day-to-day lives and realistic travel situations. Once students have established a foundation in the target language, we slowly build upon each concept to increase both understanding and verbal communication skills. Students will practice in each of the four modalities of language learning through reading, writing, speaking, and listening exercises. When learning a language, practice truly does make perfect!
I also like to include cultural and musical studies into my lessons to keep students engaged and give them a well-rounded understanding of the Spanish language and the many cultures of the Spanish speaking world. We will utilize the target language to learn about holidays, history, geography, art, music, dance, and more!
Through our online lessons and communication, student will build confidence in communicating in Spanish and increase fluency quickly. Students will increase their success in academic settings and become more confident using Spanish in real life situations. Lessons will take place exclusively online and students will need to actively participate in order to maximize their language learning experience.
