Hi, I am Julia. I am 21 years old and have recently completed a Law degree. My passion for the English language began in school where I studied English Language and Literature at GCSE level and English Language at A-Level. My time at University has developed my skills in helping other students become more competent in speaking and writing in English. I am an outgoing and positive individual and so aim to make tutoring sessions enjoyable while achieving the goals set out for the session.
I am able to teach English from the most basic level, right up to fluency. Whether you are looking to begin to speak English or improve on skills you already have, I would love to develop your ability to write or speak English.
I am keen to focus on the individual student's needs, I will first assess the competency level of the student and then collaboratively we will devise a plan to achieve the student's goals with regards to the English language. Having studied English myself I'm aware of the complexities of the language and so am able to understand the difficulties the student may face and together we will work to overcome these challenges.
An often challenging aspect of the English language is the grammar used. Having studied English to a high level and completed a large amount of proof reading throughout my degree I am able to teach and correct grammar at a high level.
