No two students are alike: everyone brings different skills and talents to the table, and everyone struggles with a slightly different aspect of the curriculum.
As such, we will start our sessions with a Skills Audit: mapping out your strengths, challenges, and development needs to ensure that my lessons are fully tailored to your goals and learning style.
Then, we'll get to work, following a development-focused approach - I will always endeavour to teach you a lot more than just dates, names, and concepts. It's crucially important that you find and develop your own learning style, leveraging your natural inclinations and talents. This will help you get to grips with and integrate the material covered.
Lastly, I'm going to make sure that you are confident going into exam season - having marked hundreds of assignments ranging from essays, exam papers, posters, article reviews, and annotated bibliographies, I am very familiar with what markers are looking for and what tips the scales between a First and a 2:1.
I will help you make sense of what is being asked of you (if you share the unit guide with me :), and make sure that you have the right approach to tackling the challenge at hand.
Any questions? Just reach out, I'm always happy to chat about how I can help you hit your stride!
