I have over 2 years of experience teaching Maths. I have also taught English, so I am able to provide English lessons, if required. I have taught individuals of many different abilities with ages ranging from 5-16. As well as this, I have taught adult learners. I can provide both in-person and online sessions, whether that’s via Skype, Zoom or other preferred media. My lessons usually take 1/2 hours. However, I am able to agree to other times as well as my schedule is very flexible at the moment. I start my first lesson by testing what my student already knows, and what they need to work on, so they don’t waste time focusing on the wrong aspect. I split my lessons into topics. Firstly, I explain the topic to the student. Then, I provide them with an example I do myself. After that, I go through another example and ask them to help me work through the example. Finally, I set them questions to work on individually. Once the lesson is over, I set them questions to complete for the next lesson. After we have completed 5 topics, I will set them a mixed exercise where they can test their knowledge and see if it is necessary to go back and do extra practice on a certain topic.
