Hi, I'm Jude. I have a first-class degree from Cambridge University in Human, Social, Political Sciences alongside straight A*s at A Level, and 9s at GCSE. During university, I was awarded numerous academic awards and a scholarship for my academic performance. I am dyslexic so know what it is like to struggle with humanities and essay writing. I would love to share with you the tips and tricks that allowed me to overcome this and ace these exams.
I have 3 years of tutoring experience ranging from teaching maths for the 11+ to University Admission tutoring. I have taught politics A Level for 2 years and have experience with a broad range of exam boards.
In my lessons, we will look carefully at past paper questions, unpack them and plan answers. I strongly believe, that for these humanities subjects, there is no substitute for practice questions. Along the way, I will explain the best exam technique and essay structures to make sure we are hitting all the requirements for the grade you are aiming for. Having emphasised my belief in the usefulness of practice questions, the lessons will be tailored to each student. Some students will want to focus more on content they did not quite grasp the first time and in these cases, I will embed such lessons into the learning programme. I have experience tutoring at 11+, 13+, GCSE and A Level levels and have tutored students with various abilities at the start, all to good feedback! I am also happy to help with any university admissions (Oxbridge or not) whether that be personal statement writing, admissions test prep or mock interviews.
