Hi! I'm a 1st grade student on a placement year studying Electronic Engineering with Computer Systems. I have always been passionate about teaching others and sharing my knowledge. In my lessons, I ensure to give advice that I wish I would have had during my GCSEs and A-Levels, having only learnt it through university. I establish a strong understanding on the students needs and requirements through open communication with them and/or parents, ensuring the student feels they are able to ask any and all questions that come to mind during the lesson.
Lesson Availability:
(Remote lessons) A-Level & GCSE: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science and Electronics
Lesson Length: 1 hour 15 minutes
Lesson layout: this is always tailored to the student. A rough template of what a general lesson could look like includes: 10 minute recap over previous lesson and/or what the student has covered at school during the week, 20 minutes explaining solutions to questions the student has brought to the lesson (if applicable) minutes to cover weekly content (whether from the proposed plan or something else the student requests), 20 minutes for student to have a go at questions relevant to the studied content.
Lesson structures are not universal, some students prefer to purely go over questions during the lesson, whilst other prefer to have explanations on key concepts. The layout of the lesson is something that is established through a discussion on the first lesson.
Tutor for previous 3 years for KS3, GCSE, A-Level and undergraduate students. Currently on a year in Industry, pursuing my Electronic Engineering bachelors qualification.
