Juan Diego Barbosa is a professional musician, producer, beatmaker, composer and teacher from Bogotá, Colombia. He graduated as Master in Music with an emphasis on Jazz Guitar from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. With his powerful and versatile sound as a player and a composer (heavily influenced by styles such as rock, jazz, R&B, soul, funk, latin american traditional music, and many others), Juan Diego has worked on Rucus' studio albums Mercurio and ¿A Dónde Fue El Tiempo?, as well as Macuira's Candela En La Capital. He has also a vast experience as a live performer with these groups.
Juan Diego also composed the music for the short film ¿Cuánto Puede Elevarse un Conejo?, directed by colombian animators Stephania Santiago and Sophia Angulo.
?He is currently working on his upcoming solo album, which will be released on spring 2024.
