When teaching English as a foreign language, I use the PPP approach - presentation, practice and production. I share the goal of the session and present the content pupils will gain knowledge of. Then, I give pupils a chance to practice using this knowledge through enjoyable activities. Finally, pupils are given an opportunity to produce work which shows what they have learnt in the session.

Through my years of teaching, I have gained a wealth of knowledge in how to deliver content for a range of subjects, whilst creating an engaging and captivating environment. I think it is important to incorporate activities which are enjoyable and allows creativity to flow during lessons. This is what can make learning more memorable and exciting.
In my teaching approach, I aim to cater to the needs of each pupil by creating an inclusive environment, which allows pupils to progress at their pace. I build on each pupil’s strengths and consider the areas to improve on; I have gained an understanding of various strategies that I can use to support each pupil.

As an individual, I show great passion for the role and want to enable pupils to feel successful and confident. I believe that I have built great rapports with past and present pupils and believe this is key when teaching.
