Jov Breeze

Hi everyone! My name is Jov and I am a masters student in mathematics at Queen’s University Belfast. I have been able to pass all of my exams with flying colours, and this is not luck. I have brilliant strategies that I would love to give to all of you.

Despite not having a lot of teaching experience, I can tell you that I have a successful history of aiding my peers with their work. I even have a TikTok account dedicated to explaining mathematics at all levels.

My lessons will be relaxed and informal, but will include well-explained techniques on how to solve all kinds of problems you will come across in your GCSEs and A-Levels. We will go at whatever pace you desire, and we will never move on until you completely understand something. You will also be able to ask questions about anything you like at any time (preferably about the subject), just interrupt me and we will walk through the problem slowly. Mathematics is not a spectator sport, so my lessons will not consist of me working through examples and you simply watching. They will be interactive, and I will be constantly asking you for your ideas at each step of a problem.

In order to make your learning experience as effective as possible, it is important that you know what you want to learn. Therefore, it would be of great help if you could tell me before the lesson specifically what topic you want to cover during that lesson. This will allow us to focus more clearly on the areas in which you struggle.

From these classes, you will get out what you put in. I won’t assign you any homework (unless you really want it), but I will ask you to go away and think about the topic, and be ready to ask appropriate questions at the start of the next lesson.
