Joshua Stapley

Hello, my name is Joshua and I’m a Law student studying in the UK. My subject focus is English and I would be happy to help students improve their reading comprehension and grammatical skills. I mainly teach students in primary school and key stage 3.

My lessons will be formatted to however the student learns best, but I’m keen on focusing part of my sessions on literary texts to ensure that students get a grasp on dealing with different styles of writing across different time periods. In my personal experience, I found that a strong set of reading comprehension skills is significantly beneficial in the transition from key stage 3 to GCSE English, with the ability to analyse a text and structure an articulate response something I look forward to developing with students.
