Motivating and encouraging students by use of the student-centered approach in teaching ensuring that students actively participate in their learning. Listening to students and input and encouraging them to have a positive attitude in what they are learning.
Chemistry is a practical science applicable in our daily lives and I use the simple examples to demonstrate ideas and communicate what we are learning in class.
My format is to ensure the students concentrate on understanding the concept rather than just learning by heart only.Chemistry is simple if a learner gets a good foundation and realizes the Main topics that almost comprise chemistry learning in any level. for instance the mastering of the periodic table at least the first 20 elements,the main trends either across or down the group will give a good insight for great achievement.
I always advice my students to keep trying, put God first who is the source of all wisdom and even if it seems tougher to keep trying be focused, follow the teachers instructions and practice always.
To be successful i encourage learners to always go an extra mile, facing new changes and seeing this subject as one of the most important pillars in the society.
I have been able to teach different learners atleast from Kenya and USA,it is possible. Remain focused and positive
