Hi, my name is Joshua!

A passionate, TEFL-certified English teacher from the UK with a flair for making language learning both practical and inspiring. With over 1,000 hours of hands-on teaching experience in classrooms and one-on-one sessions, I specialize in creating meaningful connections with students and tailoring lessons to their goals.

I hold a 120-hour Advanced TEFL certificate along with a 30-hour online teaching qualification, and have taught learners aged 5 to 18 across Europe and Latin America. My journey has taken me from immersive cultural exchanges at Angloville camps in Poland, to English Weeks across Austria, to volunteer teaching in Colombia with the Minga House Foundation - experiences that have shaped my dynamic and culturally sensitive teaching style.

What sets me apart is my commitment to real communication. I focus on helping students build confidence through natural conversation, project-based learning (like songwriting workshops), debates, and creative expression. My approach blends patience, humor, and a student-led mentality that meets each learner where they are.

As a fluent Spanish speaker, I understand the challenges and triumphs of learning a new language firsthand. I use this empathy to break down barriers, especially with shy or beginner students, and help them find their voice in English.

Whether I’m in a classroom or teaching online, my goal is to create a safe, engaging space where students feel seen, supported, and motivated to grow. I’m especially passionate about working in warm, community-driven places like Colombia or other Latin American countries where education can spark life-changing opportunities.

Let’s make English more than a subject - let’s make it a bridge to the world!
