My lessons are adaptable, mostly through Zoom and aimed at the needs of the student. Lessons are conducted in English (UK). Should the student also desire, the lessons can be recorded for posterity and revision.
In the first lesson we will discuss your current goals and desires on your English Language journey, and we will identity key areas of improvement, however general. Individually tailored lesson plans will be drawn from this information and interaction, providing you with a unique learning experience. This also gives you the chance to get to know me and how I teach.
I utilise a mix of open presentations, textbook study and conversational practice. I end my lessons with a brief look at contemporary news in English. Lessons are informal and have a relaxed pace, with a five minute break included. There is no specific dress code beyond casual dress. It is not necessary to purchase your own textbook.
I have experience teaching to all ages with a prior focus on reading comprehension and pronunciation in English. I believe the most important thing is to be understood when communicating in another language and so not only will we focus on linguistic study but also the contextual information, popular culture and literature to provide you with an enriched learning experience.
I do not issue any homework, beyond recommendations for applications aiding in the immersion with English in everyday life. At least 45 minutes, everyday, outside of lesson time should be spent recreationally in English, if you do not already.
