I am a student at Durham University with a love for languages! However, I know that not everyone can grasp them easily. If your child is struggling with French at school (KS3/4 or GCSE) or wants some extra support to achieve the highest grades, I can teach all levels of abilities and goals.
I achieved a Grade 9 GCSE in French and an A at A-Level. I have been accredited with a B2 certificate in French from an immersion school in Lyon.
I have work experience with kids from the ages of 7-18, including summer camp counselling and assisting in teaching French at a sixth form college.

My teaching style is flexible to meet the needs of each student. However, this format is what I like to begin with for GCSE Students:

- We begin with a discussion on what is going well in French, what we are struggling with and where we need to tackle those difficult topics. (Students often struggle more with Grammar and Speaking more than Reading and Listening, or vice versa)

- If possible, I'll ask the student to take an assessment sheet to their teacher who can give me more of an inside on what they need a confidence boost with and the areas that the student needs to spend more time on

- We then work together through these areas together with practice!

- After mock exams, we review the paper together to work out what went well and the areas we need to improve on.

- We prepare and practice speaking together before the Speaking assessment
