As a recent graduate in history, currently studying my masters degree in the form of a research degree, I believe that the best way of learning is to find part of a topic that you enjoy the most, and work from there. There are countless resources online that can make learning history fascinating, which will be resources that I will draw from, as well as encourage you to take a look at too. Within every period of history, there is something fascinating to be found, which ultimately will help people memorise the topic better - if you find something fun then you are more likely to be paying attention. Therefore my aim is to make history both engaging, inspiring and, to put it simply, fun to learn. I want to involve you in the topic, so that you feel comfortable to ask questions whenever you have them, with the eventual goal to form a dialogue. This is important, because history is always an ongoing process, of different narratives, arguments and ideas continually clashing and combining with one another. So the premise of my lessons will be based around presentations that aren't just a one way street - I will hope for you to engage and involve yourself. In return, I will provide an environment that caters to you, at the pace you wish to go at in a judgement free way, as I believe everyone deserves access to history no matter what your background, level, learning style or interests are. I am also always happy to be flexible in the way I teach to benefit you, as someone who is starting out, feedback is beyond welcome. Let's make this a learning experience for us all!
