Throughout my A levels, GCSEs and time at University I've learnt my best way to learn as well as many others best tips and tricks, I'd like to condense these into my lessons and bring the learning style the student wants to my lessons and adapt to the students, rather than them trying to adapt to whatever way I want to teach. Although challenging I believe this is the best way to be taught something.
Within my lessons regarding sciences I'd like to focus more on the understand of how a system works through visual and animated slides rather than just words on the screen that don't ever stick. I believe this way of learning not only gives a greater understanding of the content at hand, but is also a good way to prepare students for later life where learning key words and terms isn't as important in science as a competent understanding of the systems and laws that govern things, whether it be natural life or physics. For teaching mathematics I prefer a graphic approach as I believe that representation of maths makes it easier to understand, especially in mechanics. My lessons would be taught using a drawing tablet for notations over a pre made PowerPoint for the material I am covering, with a focus on learning objects/outcomes that relate to the course being taught, such as AQA. I would also like to run segments for Q&A or interactive questions, as engaging with the subject being taught creates a more lasting impression and memory of the content covered.
