I graduated from The Queen's College, The University of Oxford with a B.A. in Spanish and Czech language and literature last year. I attained the TEFL qualification to teach English as a foreign language in 2019. I have 8 years of experience teaching 1-1 and small group classes in the subjects of English as a Foreign Language, English literature, Spanish, Latin, county 11+ exam preparation, Common Entrance exam preparation, generic essay writing and Oxbridge entrance exam guidance. I am a kind and approachable person, with an encouraging teaching style. I am experienced teaching children of all ages, both online and in-person, as well as having experience teaching adults. I love learning myself and hope to instil a love of learning in all my students. I use a varied lesson style, tailoring my classes to the student's needs and incorporating different teaching methods to ensure variety and engagement in my classes. In my classes, we will use a variety of online platforms as well as physical materials, whilst also using materials made specifically by me for each individual student. We will break the lesson up into different stages, using different learning styles for each stage to ensure the student is never bored. I use a variety of exercises, games, videos, conversation and other teaching mediums to ensure variety throughout my classes. I teach in person and online and will commute within the Buckinghamshire area. I offer a half-price consultation lesson, to see if the student and I are suited to each other and to ascertain the student's academic needs, before making a plan for future lessons.
