I am rather patient with my approach to teaching, believing that good results come not from pressure but from effective use of learning tools and methods. I would focus on identifying the problem areas and their root causes first using initial assessment questions, followed by (if appropriate) interactive lessons. For topics where memorization is key, I would then use mindmaps and summarize into bullet points to help focus on what’s relevant in the most effective manner. Once 2-3 topics were covered, I would recap what was taught and assess the progress made using (if appropriate) interactive questions. From there, I would be able to see if there are any parts that require another look-over.
