Although I do not have much experience teaching history I have thought in many other areas being in the military.
I like to have a relaxed class making the lessons interesting and engaging by encouraging student participation and games to encourage learning through fun as I believe it's a very effective way teaching.
Although i will take all areas of learning to consideration with each being written, reading, visual audio and kinetic I try to employ all these factors into my teaching to make the most effective lesson.
When we first start a lesson I would encourage a little ice breaker to get to know the student this creates a informal environment for both tutor and student followed by laying out what they want to achieve which I would like to know beforehand so I can create a lesson plan based off of your needs. After I got the information I will go create the lesson using all types of learning styles as many won't know what kind of learning style they have. I will then present it to you and begin the lesson. After we finish I will give you a bit of time before giving you a quick test followed by a recap and a conclusion after which you can ask any questions you may have with the lesson and get pointers on how to improve for next time.
