I have 7 years of experience tutoring Maths and English up to GCSE level, both in-person and online.
For online lessons, I use Bramble - an online interactive whiteboard which the student can write on and where we can upload pictures, questions and written answers.
My sessions tend to be a conversation, with a focus on making sure the student is comfortable and determining the student's needs through fostering natural communication.
One way that I often begin lessons is by checking the student's understanding of a topic with the use of example questions, then providing the student with worked-examples of how to answer the question, placing my emphasis where I feel the student's understanding could be improved.
However, every student learns differently, and so my teaching style is ultimately very flexible and able to be tailored to the individual student.
I have a great deal of experience teaching students of all abilities and individual needs, including those who are neurodivergent or who have special educational needs.
