I have become versed with Teams as a learning platform, frequently uploading lessons and resources and previously using it as a tool to present but will be willing to meet you wherever is convenient and on whichever platform.
I have been working as a Science teacher and am looking for supplementary tutor work to improve my teaching practice. I have tried to be as effective as possible in my career so far, gaining strong subject knowledge and Scientific/Numerical skills throughout my Astrophysics degree and ubsequent UK QTS and PGCE in Science (Dist), as well as working effectively with pupils of various backrounds in Special schools and state schools, teaching of KS3/4 content to SEN groups, as well as in-school Physics 'Masterclasses' for pupils soon to take their exams.
I am a firm believer that a personable approach to learning is better for the student- I run multiple extracurricular clubs at my school, and try to make learning a hands on, engaging experience, and find that creating a welcoming environment where mistakes are seen in a positive light is necessary to give pupils the opportunity to succeed.
Outside of my work, I still have a love for learning, whether around culture, sport, religion, current affairs or history- I like to know things that my students might be interested in, and find it helps me to learn from them so they can learn from me!
