My 30 years' experience ranges from teaching young students to mature adults. I've taught at different schools and even had my own private institute. I'm after seeing students making progress and succeed in their targets. I've studied several languages, but taught English for most of the time.
Typically a lesson would deal with the four basic language skills, that is, speaking, reading, writing and listening. Emphasis is laid on what the student requires, but certainly on any weak areas. A main topic is discussed, and tasks are aligned to it. Handouts are provided as need be.
The more responsive the student, the more interaction prevails, and this benefits the student. So, don't worry if English is a challenging subject as long as you are ready to raise up to the challenge and improve. A lesson can take any format to suit your needs and facilitate learning. Take note of the difficulties you're encountering in English and be prepared to discuss them with me on our first meeting. Step by step, we can improve on what you already embrace and move on to explore new areas and to succeed in them.
Best wishes!
