Hi, I'm Jose and I love Technology and Maths to an almost concerning degree. I would love to share that passion with you. For a price of course.
I've had two years of experience teaching as a private tutor for Maths with students from primary school to GCSE level. With the (hopefully) reasonable price of £10/H, I'm sure I can greatly contribute to your understanding of Computer Science or Maths...
Hi, I'm Jose and I love Technology and Maths to an almost concerning degree. I would love to share that passion with you. For a price of course.
I've had two years of experience teaching as a private tutor for Maths with students from primary school to GCSE level. With the (hopefully) reasonable price of £10/H, I'm sure I can greatly contribute to your understanding of Computer Science or Maths and perhaps share some of my passion for the subjects.
Computer Science:
While I've done my A-level under the AQA board for Python, getting A* predicted, I can also boast fluency in C++ and Assembly along with a working knowledge of Java and have learnt well beyond the spec for theory, revising with both OCR and Eduqas past papers.
As for how I can help you in Computer Science:
Practical coding can only be learnt through a wealth of problems where I will be supporting you every step of the way when you get stuck rather than having you waste hours debugging every small error. Even closer to the exam, past papers tend to be less useful than the online repositories of problems.
For the theoretical aspect, lessons will mainly consist of me explaining each topic and answering any questions you have.
I will set homework at the end of each lesson and would highly reccomend you do the homework. However, the amount will depend on your own goals and situation. Should you get stuck, feel free to message me with your problem and I will respond ASAP.
Maths:
I have done A-level Futher Maths under the OCR/MEI B syllabus with Mechanics as my major and Statistics as my minor with A* predicted. I have then had to study for the TMUA where I achieved 6.5 and then STEP 2, which I consistently get scores between grade 1 and 2.
Each lesson will generally be a loop of me explaining a concept and then helping you solve problems involving that concept and helping you according to your needs until I consider that concept learned.
The homework will generally be a recap of what we have done in class with an optional challenge question should you wish to stretch yourself.
