Why I Tutor:

English Literature has always been a passion of mine, sparked by an inspiring teacher who revealed the beauty and depth of literary works during my GCSEs. Now, that same inspiration is channelled into tutoring, with the goal of helping students not only achieve academic success but also develop a lifelong love for the subject.

Exam Preparation Strategy:

A key strength of mine is preparing students for the unpredictability of exam questions. By teaching how to identify multiple potential essay questions during revision, students can adapt their knowledge to different exam prompts. Recognising common themes and structures in past papers equips students with the flexibility to tackle a wide range of questions confidently, even when they differ from expectations.

To make revision more effective, I guide students in creating their own essay preparation guides. These A4 bullet-pointed sheets include essential quotes, themes, and contextual information, organising thoughts and providing a quick-reference tool during revision, making it easier to recall and apply knowledge under exam conditions.

With a degree in English Literature and extensive experience working with students, I have a proven track record of helping learners achieve top grades. My journey in English Literature began with an inspiring teacher at GCSE who ignited a passion for the subject, setting the path that I continue to follow today.
