Experience:

-My only experience of tutoring has came through private lessons with 4 friends. Two of which continued for almost a year now and have great conversational Spanish and a good grasp of grammar

Format of Classes:

-I like to do the lessons over Zoom in which I can share my screen for my presentations. They include reading and writing exercises, listening exercises and opportunities for conversational activities. I think it's important to do a bit of everything in each lesson. I also provide flashcard sets on the app Quizlet to assist learning inbetween classes.
-I also use a shared document on Google Docs which I like as it allows both me and the student to edit answers at the same time. This allows me to correct/ make amendments in real time despite not being there in person.

Content of Classes:

-The content depends very much on the level of the student of course, however, as a whole, I always make the lessons a hybrid of grammar and content- ensuring that the lessons stay enjoyable.
-I begin the lessons with basic conversation and slowly make the topics more advanced. Going from talking about yourself, your past and future before advancing into current events and themes in the world. I think it's vital to keep it persoanlsied to each student as they'll only be talking about things that they talk about in real life.
-At the professional level, the lessons will move into the world of work- interviews, formal writing etc to set the student up for a life abroad!
