My lessons will be tailored to suit your needs, whether you are looking to improve your essay grade or tackle difficult texts and books. I am excited to work with you to hone your writing and reading comprehension skills through analyzing different passages of literature and working on different writing activities. If you are thinking of studying at an American university, I am happy to help you prepare for your application, whether this is through test prep for the ACT or SAT or through brainstorming how to respond to the personal essay sections so that they best capture you! I am also happy to tap into my background in Creative Writing and teach you how to capture your creativity and learn the mechanics of how to write an attention-grabbing story.

I have always been committed to learning and am excited to share this with my students. I graduated as valedictorian of my competitive private high school, pursuing the most challenging classes across disciplines, earning a 34 on the ACT out of 36, and earning the highest score of 5 on AP Chemistry, AP Calc BC, AP Calc AB, AP U.S. Government and AP Comparative Government. I attended the prestigious University of Chicago, known for its rigorous core curriculum, where I balanced pursuing two separate majors and earned the distinction of Honors in both English Literature and Creative Writing. I also graduated cum laude, always earning an A- or higher in each course. I loved the specificity of each course I took, whether it was an English Literature course where we read every Jane Austen novel, or a Art History course that took place in the Art Institute of Chicago, where we could see for ourselves the artwork up close.

I am now pursuing a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing at the University of St Andrews. I have completed my first year of the two year program, and in the upcoming year I will have the opportunity to design my own Creative Writing course to teach to undergraduates. I am also at work to become certified in teaching English as a Foreign Language.
