I am an experienced A-level History teacher, aged 74, who loves teaching and has also been an examiner, so I know what examiners, markers, and others are looking for from students. I am a keen cyclist, guitarist, and singer. I like reading, gardening, and cooking. I am married with three grown-up children and live in Marple, on the edge of the Peak District.

My basic approach to teaching is to introduce study skills for History, including how to approach reading and remembering what you read, how to plan and write essays, and how to prepare for examinations.
