I am confident my fifteen years of professional experience has prepared me to develop meaningful course content and deliver effective lessons. I have excellent oral and written communication skills and I am comfortable using standard computer programs and applications. I will ensure that all students have the opportunity to learn by planning appropriate and constructive lessons in a supportive and enjoyable learning environment.

My teaching objectives are to
o Be a resource for my students, giving information to help them survive and thrive in the community.
o Remain positive and enthusiastic about my students and what they are capable of learning.
o Work with my students in an open, honest and authentic manner and encourage them to do likewise.
o Make efficient use of my time and move in a planned and systematic direction to maintain a constructive educational environment.
o Constantly integrate innovative methodologies and activities to enable students to have unique and meaningful new growth experiences.
o Make use of my knowledge of other languages and phonetic alphabets to more effectively assist students learning English.
o Ensure that all students have the opportunity to achieve success by maintaining a supportive and fun learning environment that fosters confidence and participation.
o Participate in professional development activities and maintain an up-to-date body of knowledge in the field

My teaching experience thus far has taught me that
o The method of facilitating rather than dictating encourages student to become confident in their own learning experience.
o The integration of humor into my lessons, explanations and stories help students learn.
o Fair and concise communication conveyed in meaningful ways from several perspectives helps students grasp concepts.
o Setting high expectations for my students and myself, yet allowing for mistakes, fosters a positive learning environment that accepts the intrinsic motivations of individuals.
o Respect is earned by treating students with equality and dignity.
