My lessons are instructional. Which means I provide instructional materials and then I explain what the materials are and how they should be read and practiced. In my sessions students are engaged and playing their instrument throughout the lesson. I focus on tone production, articulation and phrasing. Students are taught to hold the instrument correctly and to get their hands in the proper position to play the instrument correctly and effectively. On instruments like flute and clarinet hand correct hand position is essential or the instrument simply will not play.
