I am passionate about biology and would like to help you achieve your academic goals by tutoring you in GCSE and A-level biology. With a Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD in biological sciences - specifically in plant science, microbiology, and genetics - as well as experience in tutoring GCSE biology and lecturing at a Master’s level, I believe I am well-equipped to provide you with the guidance and support you need to succeed in any aspect of biology.

I aim to build your confidence in understanding biology to effectively answer exam questions and to critically think about the subject through guided broad-range questions. This starts from the wider scope of why to learn a topic with the goal of understanding and reciting this topic. Importantly I aim to make the topics interesting, relaxed, and fun as this is the fastest way to learn biology. To ensure that I am teaching in the best way possible, I will work with you to understand your learning style, and will be flexible in my approach.

Writing is an integral part of biology and is often dismissed in school teaching. I will show you the best way to answer tricky biology questions in a concise and accurate way as this is essential for getting top marks. The key things I would like to teach are understanding biological processes, essay writing, and answering GCSE or A level exam questions. I am also happy to teach you about laboratory skills and give advice on the steps and skills needed to become a researcher.
