As a French teaching assistant, I have a first-hand understanding of the structure of the exams and the expectations for GCSE and A-level. I am in a good position to provide feedback and indicate what the student needs to know to achieve a better grade.
I am a very patient person and will always find encouraging words to give confidence to students. This is key with verbal skills, to feel in control rather than out of depth with a language.
I will make sure to cover the various topics taught at school and will do regular drills on tenses and grammar points. I will also use resources online to develop reading, listening, and speaking skills.
As a French native, I am in the best position to help with pronunciation and to provide students with useful pointers. I also have a solid insight on French culture, which can come in handy for A-level students when they build up their IRP.
