Joel Nugent

Hi, I'm Joel! For years, I struggled academically due to undiagnosed Dyslexia, I feared that i would not be able to go to university with the grades I was achieving, after my diagnosis, everything changed, I was able to use the techniques I had learned as well as my newfound confidence to fall in love with my subjects. A few years on I now have achieved a master's degree in Politics from King's College London.

I would love to share my expertise with students who also have learning disabilities. My lessons will be fun, engaging and above all I will place a huge emphasis on the interactive nature of my lessons, I believe that for a student to excel truly, the subject must be made interesting to them. In the first week, we will discuss what interests the student about the subject, and from then on I will create a personalised course aimed at allowing the student to get the most out of their lesson, ask lots of questions, and get to know their subject in a way school cannot.

I completed A-level history, Politics and sociology, obtained an undergraduate degree in politics from the University of Kent and a Masters Degree from Kings College London, this means I have an excellent understanding of what examiners are looking for in essays and can help any student achieve their dream grade.

Through my additional reading I have collected mountains of resources which can help any student distinguish themselves in an essay, exam or presentation. My lessons will be fun, interactive, and most of all useful!
